My Unstyled Life: Riches to rags.

I love my little collection of rags. You see they began their journey as beautiful cotton or linen napkins that adorned our table. Or were scraps of the white curtain I hand-stitched just before Rafa arrived. As the white becomes less white and rather unseemly on the dinning room table, I cut them up and turn them into rags. All nicely stored in a little linen bag, a remnant of a table cloth if I remember correctly. And mind you these rags are used all the time. It was while using them to treat our wooden kitchen items with coconut oil this past week that I got the idea to photograph the rags for this series. Slowly we’re getting there. ‘There’ being where everything we own is both useful and beautiful.
