Leina Broughton Biker Jacket layered for the cooler months

I don’t have too many jackets, but I’ve quickly realised how much versatility the perfect jacket can bring to my fairly minimal wardrobe. This season I decided to try a fresh take on the traditional biker jacket with a jacket in luxe ponti and leatherette from Leina Broughton‘s latest winter collection. The jacket arrived when I was in Dunedin at the onset of winter but was surprisingly easy to adapt to the tropical Fijian weather. The cut of the jacket allows for easy layering making it cosy for winter and the light fabrication provides comfort and style in the tropics. I’ve got the size 8, it’s a little room-y for me, but it’s definitely true to size. The jacket packs beautifully (light weight with no ironing required), making it perfect for  travel or to just throw into your tote when you’re not sure what the weather is doing. Unlike traditional biker jackets made of leather, this one is kinder on my shoulders and while structured does not restrict movement. I like my clothes quite well fitted and while I struggled with this jacket being a little bigger than I prefer, I seem to be the only one who notices. If you’re looking for a fresh take on a jacket, I don’t think I could recommend this biker jacket more. It adds another element of strength and style to my simple wardrobe.

With these style posts I think I’d really like to convey how I make the most of what I have in my wardrobe and hopefully it sparks an idea with what you can do with what you have.

What do you look for in a jacket?

For me, it’s definitely weight and the degree to which it allows easy movement.

A biker jacket brings in a lot of uniqueness and freshness to your wardrobe. I completely agree with you on this and I loved the leather jacket. I have recently got some from http://www.clandesmotards.net/22-blouson-moto and I think I should also get this one soon. Since, I am a motorcyclist I need leather jackets quite often and jackets like this make for the perfect stylish outfits as well!
