Fiji Fashion Week: Resort Wear Collection Diary

May 29, 2015

I appears that I broke out the colour today after days of black and white. One of my biggest criticisms of the resort collections at Fiji Fashion Week this evening has been the the lack of innovation when it comes to fabrics, colours and silhouettes for resort wear. I think I’d like to see more metallics, more clean lines and perhaps architectural references to contrast the breeziness and flow-y-ness of typical resort collections. That said, I felt today marked a stellar performance by designers, models, photographers and crew alike. What a production tonight was and I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow. I kept my outfit simple. Nothing you haven’t seen before but perhaps not worn together – the beauty of investment pieces. Like I said in this post on what to wear to a fashion show – wear what you’d normally wear but a little more polished than the everyday version.  This is the polished version of my everyday style.

I hope you’ve been enjoying the blog posts and Instagram updates. For the moment, I need to turn the gadgets off and set some sleep. Lolomas (love) from Fiji x
