a portrait of my son, once a week
Rafa and already your exploration of who you are and your place in the world has begun
I took much nicer photos of Rafa throughout the week. This one is blurry. It was an unguarded moment. Rafa was crawling around in the morning light and his shadow caught his attention. He started talking to and touching it. I sat still, not wanting to ruin the moment but wanting to capture it for him. Slowly I walked across the room to get my camera. One shot. One shot was all I got, and this was it. This week Rafa has been in love with shadows and reflections – particularly his own. I hope he develops a strong sense of self, and I hope I can demonstrate that and be an example of that for him, every day.
